I have been employed by Mitchells and Butlers now for over five years and am regarded as a trustworthy and reliable employee. This job has allowed me to independently fund my further education. After completing both my degree and postgraduate studies I decided to embark on a round the world trip, I believe all of these experiences have contributed greatly to my life skills that are all transferable to the work place. It would be fair to say that I have always been greatly interested by the criminal justice system, as reflected by my choice of degree (Police Studies) and postgraduate masters (Criminology). I have also independently taken steps to gain a better understanding of how the criminal justice system operates within England and Wales, in particular the CPS e.g. prison visits and court observations. However I feel that my skills and experiences would put me in a good position to perform well in a variety of roles and positions within the work place.

  I am currently employed as a front of house member of staff with Mitchells and Butlers (Harvester restaurant) covering both waiting and bar work. I have held this position since 2008 having now worked under 2 different managers.I have been able to develop a number of skills since obtaining this position, these include a good customer service, effective and efficient service in an often challenging environment, cashing out and stock rotation and the training of new staff.
