About Benjamin Cotts

Benjamin Cotts is a Principal Engineer in Exponent’s Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Practice. He is an officer in the IEEE PES working group for Corona and Field Effects and a member of the IEEE TC95 committee overseeing standards related to electromagnetic safety. His work includes modeling and measurement analyses of natural and anthropogenic electromagnetic fields such as space weather, and geomagnetic storms as well as in the initiation, field effects, and characteristics of lightning discharges.
