Germany Assignment (July 2017 - October 2018):Lived abroad outside Munich, Germany to develop new key products in seat ventilation field.Submitted 6+ Patent applications with 3 going for further protection.Seat Vent Knowledge Expert (March 2016 - Present):- Close technical knowledge gaps associated with overall performance and integration.- Development of internal and customer specific ventilation specifications including: Airflow (component level and seat complete), sound, vibration, total heat flux performance, and airflow distribution.- Analytical modeling of vent performance based on a number of empirical studies to better and quickly predict seat level performance before a seat is built and tested.- Training on the basics of fans and seat ventilation as well as mentoring of incoming vent engineers.Seat Ventilation Design and Release Engineer (April 2014 - March 2016):- In fulfillment of customer quotes (RFQs), responsible for BOM creation, drawing preparation, GD/T, DVP/R, and DFMEA for seat vent systems in North America.- Overseeing vent design to optimize performance and weight, while reducing cost.- Technical communication with supply base to recommend best possible sub-components to purchasing team including fans, spacer material, and adhesives.- Coordination of numerous seat prototype builds to showcase vent concepts to a wide range of customers.- Running of tests to determine ventilation performance including: Airflow (component level and seat complete), sound, vibration, total heat flux performance, pressure distribution, component permeability, and airflow distribution.
