About Benjamin Craig

My primary role is to enhance the experience of users, fulfillers, and administrators after the implementation of service management systems like ServiceNow. It's nice to get a shiny new system. Many talented technical people work on the development and integration of these large systems into a company or institution, but sometimes there isn't a lot of thought given to the non-technical end user and how they are going to use this system. People generally resist learning new technology. Most are very busy. If they don't want to take the time to learn a new system, they will get frustrated with it. Before you know it, the opinion of that shiny new system isn't so great around the organization.That's exactly where I help. I work with users and fulfillers of service management systems like ServiceNow to make their experience better. I help fulfillers utilize tables, reports, and dashboards. I work to build a robust, video-heavy knowledge resource, and also design service portals from the top down. I also create comprehensive communication plans to broadcast changes and features. I consider myself a vital component in the implementation of these large and robust systems.

    This position is part of the Information Services IT Project Management Office. Within the IT PMO, we see the role of IT Customer Strategy Lead as a key change management agent who works on all technology projects that have an impact on our user community. The IT Customer Experience Strategy Lead, will be responsible for defining and implementing a customer-centric strategy for all IT-related services and interactions. This role is critical to the smooth rollout of technology related projects that impact our students, faculty and staff and ensures a seamless and positive experience for both internal and external users, driving satisfaction, clarity, and efficient resolution of IT-related issues.Execute the design plans and build the change management material specific to each project.Assist the IT PMO in creating project reports and dashboards that will inform project plans, timeline and priorities. Also assist various areas within IS to create reports and dashboards that contribute toward IS initiatives and strategies. This will require utilizing data analytics and visualization to assess IT performance and make data driven recommendations for improvements. Create and disseminate a variety of strategic communication materials related to overall IT technology use and changes at the institution.
