This was an ExCo Special Strategic Project that delivered trade study recommendations, and provided the foundations for a successful full SAP transition

Manage the safe, efficient and high-quality execution of daily production operations to manufacture aircraft fuselage sections at a supplier facility in Italy. Identify and drive step change improvements to increase first-time-quality and production efficiencies. Establish high performance work teams by creating a positive environment and, coaching and mentoring local hire employees in lean methodologies to create a self-sustaining capability. In this role as the only English national within an Italian factory, I learned fine skills regards cultural awareness and communication techniques that enabled me to successfully lead teams to increase quality and quantity of output in the short time frame necessary for programme success

Engage with internal, supplier and customer teams to ensure the efficient flow of Chinook depth maintenance events at a supplier facility. Manage risk, and schedule change. Analyse data to determine performance and drive Continuous Improvement. Report status and raise help needed into Senior Leadership to ensure the health of the programme. This role taught me Value Stream Analysis skills that have remained a key tenant of my approach, and I was recognised for being a key member of the team that established regulatory approvals to enable growth of the business.
