In this role, I have been involved in redesigning the UX and UI for a major teacher support site for teachers of international GCSEs and A levels. This included weekly sketch workshops, wireframing, prototyping, guerilla user testing and UI design. I have also been involved in the UX of web editing software, which involved large-scale user research and user testing, and a multiplatform mobile application for assisting employees in relocating to a new building.

Architecture was a great opportunity to gain an overview of the business and the IT landscape. I had a number of roles, including system administration, architectural modeling and technical demonstration. This role also allowed me to develop my graphical design and storyboarding. I was able to produce a number of both print and digital media, and could begin to focus my work on users.

My research included high efficiency reflectors and graded dielectric mirrors, for industrial applications.Headed my own project for the R&D of high efficiency solar reflectors.Gained knowledge of both academia and private industry, alongside learningthe importance of teamwork, collaboration, and time-management.Management of time in relation to production of output in conjunction withdeveloping, maintaining, and upgrading specialist physical vapour depositionequipment.

Combining a strong customer focus with a sound knowledge of the stock, and of the wider book market, I helped customers locate particular books and offered information and advice about different books available. Other duties included ordering and displaying stock, and managing the sales of particular sections.Part-time duties including section management, where my understanding of thelocal supply and demand enabled effective management of stock.Customer and colleague interaction allowed me to develop interpersonal skills.
