Computer Network Exploitation Analyst
Certified CNE analyst conducting CNO for purposes of satisfying national foreign intelligence requirements.Develop CNE strategies for CNO to gain tactical access and provide actionable intelligence in support of national defense and foreign policy information needs.Identify different types of computers and telecommunications network elements to determine their functionality within target networks.Conduct extensive and detailed cyber forensic examination of target entities to include packet analysis and system log examination.Mentor civilian and Join-Service members on concepts of computer security analysis, principles of exploiting communications systems, and internal tools, techniques, and procedures used to analyze and exploit computer systems.DNEA utilizing experience and knowledge of networks and incident response fundamentals to satisfy national foreign intelligence requirements.Provide cybersecurity and Operation Security (OPSEC) oversight of activities within target networks to better understand active and passive security postures, analytic capabilities, and incident response procedures.Evaluate network architecture, communication protocols, and unique data flows to identify purpose and functionality of computer systems.Identify vulnerabilities within computer systems and communications networks for use in CNO.Analyze data and metadata to discover patterns and anomalies in target networks, target communications, and link characterization.Build and maintain target profiles on computer systems, network devices, communication systems, infrastructure, and other vulnerable entities to maintain continuity of information within the national intelligence and cyber security community.Routinely assess the value, validity, and integrity of data, and data sources, to make recommendations for authors of national intelligence products and reports.Create and maintain deliverable documentation detailing computer networks and intelligence sources for the USG.
