The first Co-Op I received was right after high school at Intertape Polymer Group. The main focus of this co-op experience was Solidworks and an introduction into installment management. I took measurements of the machines that were utilized and recreated machine assemblies in Solidworks. In addition, I designed and prototyped parts based on the specifications given to me. Which, later led to managing installments from outside companies.At Magna mirrors I received an increased amount of knowledge of product design. This includes design and production validation testing, prototyping, warranty studies, and hands on engineering experience. My time at Magna expanded my already high knowledge on the automotive industry by portraying the engineering required before a part is released to the public.I also volunteer at Stanley Engineering and Fasteners by creating CAD drawings and machining parts if needed. I utilize my hands on and computer aided engineering skills to assist the preparation of parts utilized on automotive assembly lines.
