AboutI am a passionate scientist who turned to inspire young people with this passion. However, after spending 14 years teaching in high schools and community colleges my priorities have changed, and would like to join a team to further their goals and enjoy my own productivity. My research experience is in the structural biology and affinity of protein-drug interactions with a focus on proteins involved in drug resistance. With my extensive experience in training and mentorship, I am interested in both R&D and managerial positions. I am a polymath interested in learning many topics and looking for ways to bring topics, ideas, systems, and people together to find synergy.I used my skills in the field of X-ray crystallography to achieve 3 peer-reviewed first-author papers including a paper on interactions of novel drugs designed by a collaborator and a protein involved in multidrug resistance. My communication skills and ability to discuss technical topics with both experts and laypeople resulted in 5 poster presentations and 7 fellowships and grants. My training and mentorship skills are seen in my 14 years of teaching in high school and college.I am looking for a team and a work culture where I can help find connections between our ideas and our skills and use my own skills to help achieve our goals. I will grow and encourage those around me to grow. We work vigorously towards our goals but in a healthy manner. Our team understands the importance of time spent and activities outside of work.Other passions of mine include Manouche (gypsy) jazz and paragliding.
