Lead improvement in the understanding and interactions between Pfizer and priority medical customers including Academic Medical Centers, Specialty Care physicians and other health care providers. Lead portfolio based strategy and process development including prioritization, medical resource allocation, evidence planning, and the support of innovation. Stimulate the development of new capabilities such as real world data analytics and social media data analytics.

The Pfizer Global Health Fellow program places selected Pfizer colleagues in developing countries to support Global Health in partnership with established international NGO partners. Each year Pfizer sends about 20 individuals internationally to work on global health issues. The purpose is to support Pfizer's mission to improve health, in this case through the deployment of colleagues with specific capabilities to complement the those of NGOs, working together on a specific health goal. I have been deployed to work with a consortium in Jakarta, funded by the US Agency for International Development (USAID) working to achieve UN Millenium Development Goal 5A, to reduce maternal mortality, as well as to improve neonatal survival. The program is called EMAS (Extending Maternal and Neonatal Survival) and key NGO partners include RTI, Save the Children, and JHPIEGO, an affiliate of Johns Hopkins, and Muhammadiyah, a leading Islamic social services and healthcare organization in Indonesia.
