Managed a Non-profit and organized community events for fundraising

* Co-developed and then taught lessons with five different English teachers to instruct their English conversation classes* Worked with students to update, publish and translate the school's first wikipedia page into English (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hlfs_ursprung)* Worked as a school translator (German-to-English), translating a 20-page report on the school's student-created start-up company "Urpsrunger Schwarzerde AKA Soilution"and fielded all grammar/syntax questions concerning student papers/application etc.* Implemented conversation-based lessons for Austrian students, 14-to-20 years old, about current U.S. issues and topics, such as: the U.S. Election System, gun control, weather, school systems, and renewable energy while breaking down concepts into German (~10% of the time)* Supported students and the community by attending school events, such as concerts and fests* Collected mountains of realia (authentic German materials) for use in my German classroom

* Administered activities designed with Universal Design of Learning principles to instruct students with a variety of learning styles and ability levels, including those with learning disabilities* Clarified the connections between English and German syntax and encouraged students to recognize the differences and similarities in an inductive manner* Requested, researched, and shared German children’s books with students to bring the grammar and syntax of German to life in a context that matched their ability level
