I have over 25 years of private equity / real estate investment experience and more than 8 years of venture capital experience where I have raised and successfully deployed over $300 million of equity capital into real estate and start ups/ early stage companies. On the real estate side, my focus has traditionally been on finding undervalued real estate opportunities where I can work with best in class operating partners and developers to add value to projects via renovations or new construction. Since 1996, I have completed over 150 transactions in 16 states creating strong risk adjusted returns for my investors and operating partners. Most of the equity was raised on a deal-by-deal basis with the exception of two fund structures which we started in 2017 and 2019. On the venture capital side, my primary focus has been to seek out disruptive technologies in the hands of exceptional entrepreneurs that want to build the next great company and solve some of our biggest problems. Being able to provide capital and meaningful connections to help those entrepreneurs achieve their goals has been one of the most rewarding things I have done in my career. To date, 19 of the 20 companies remain in the portfolio with one successful exit.
