Administrative Assistance:Provide support to the Director of Advocacy’s strategic goals through project-related tasks including research, documentation, and implementation of action plans.Assist with the preparation and facilitation of board meetings, including preparing minutes, providing program an service summaries, and completing follow-up actions. Sector Representation:Represent BCFPA at sector committee meetings, advocating for the needs of the agency and the best interests of foster caregivers.Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, community organizations, and other non-profits. Program and Resource Management:Support the Executive Director in managing the annual BC Foster Basics video program, including planning, production, and dissemination.In partnership with the Ministry of Children and Family Development, oversee the revision, printing and distribution of the Foster Family Handbook, ensuring it remains a relevant and valuable resource. Future Planning and Proposals:Contribute to the organization’s future planning efforts, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement in programs and services.Assist in developing program proposals to the Ministry of Children and Family Development, including research, writing, and coordination.
