Responsible for installing and troubleshooting new and existing DAS systems for Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, and Public Safety in either industrial or office environments.Advised site IT management on cable routes in new construction environments. Often in new construction keeping conduit runs to code while working with multiple industries who were also looking for routes to follow.Created strength of signal reports before and after installation using Anritsu spectrum analyzers or Signal Hounds Spectrum analyzers.In charge of ordering RF materials needed for all active sites was a main focus for the week. Andrews connectors, PPC connectors, Trilogy connectors, Andrews Cable, Trilogy Cable, RFS cable along with having Andrews or Commscope antennas.Programmed Axel, Comba, and Fiplex bidirectional amplifiers within the MDF or MPOE closets.Trained customers and company employees on Commscope splitters, Commscope couplers, Ridgid reaming tool, Ridgid compression tool, JMA connectors, Andrews connectors, weatherization tape and how to apply properly, occasionally Trilogy connectors by hand, as well as the bend radius difference between RFS, Andrews, and Trilogy cables. More seasoned technicians would also receive training on Anritsu PIM Testing, signal sweeps, and signal generator. Leads would be trained on spectrum analyzer in case I was not able to do initial testing.Utilization of APC, Fiplex, Comba battery backups was very common on public safety sites as well as some carrier sites. Meeting with Project Managers to ensure proper units were ordered with the correct suppliers.Worked directly with police and fire departments in Santa Clara County on times and dates for testing, setting up appointments for radio pickups, and scheduling of police and fire personnel for sign offs were my responsibilities.
