Assist with the management of 15 properties including negotiating leases for both apartments and commercial spaces; assisting owner of BDG with multi-million-dollar development projects including with the purchase and sale of properties. With current properties, perform basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and carpentry work. Inspects vacant units and prepares each unit for lease or rental. Collecting rent from tenants. Maintain a rental journal of delinquent and up-to-date payments. Make payment arrangements with delinquent tenants on past due rent before legal proceedings commence. Deliver renewal letters and eviction notices. Working with in-house counsel to file paperwork with the courts, serving tenants for court appearances and if necessary, testifying on company’s behalf.

Support both legal personnel and court activities by submitting to various courts documents such as but not limited to subpoenas, summons, eviction notices and restraining orders to individuals and business entities involved in court cases ensuring that all documents are completed correctly and that both the law, legal procedures rules and regulations are being followed. Working collaboratively with legal professionals and maintaining records and reports to be used by lawyers, judges and other legal professionals to ensure that legal proceedings can occur properly including working with attorneys to establish timelines of delivered documents and determine all individuals connected to court cases were served. Testifying under oath in court of actions taken during service of documents to prevent court cases from being dismissed or thrown out of court.
