In my current role I strategically manage several corporate services contracts including fleet, fuel, travel and mileage/expenses capture as well as the e-procurement software contract. I act as the de facto fleet manager for the business and chair our internal fleet steering group which owns and delivers the fleet strategy for our 600+ car fleet. Additionally, I manage all high-value, high-profile remedial works tenders for the NHBC Major Claims and Exceptional Loss teams.

In this newly created role I acted as both a sourcing expert and high-calibre buyer. My role saw me work throughout the business with senior stakeholders to design and manage multiple high-profile, strategic projects including fleet manufacturers, fleet management, NHBC Standards printing and political consultancy services. Additionally, I worked collaboratively with the Procurement Business Partners and internal project teams to run end to end projects for consumables, cleaning, print, employee benefits and investments.The newly created role saw me become the visionary of e-procurement in NHBC where I designed and implemented the now well-established e-procurement solution which runs from initial due diligence through to contract award. When I joined NHBC I was tasked with quickly becoming an expert in the Medius (formerly Wax Digital) platform and building our procurement process and business requirements into the system. A key requirement for delivering results in this role was stakeholder management, particularly in the form of collaboratively managing the businesses transition from a manual offline tender process to a fully auditable and electronic sourcing solution. Stakeholder management was pivotal in my work with the NHBC Claims team who now see Procurement fully manage all high value tenders from the decision of which Procurement approved contractors are invited to tender through to providing a recommendation based on previously unutilised data including; in-life due diligence, financial viability, recent supplier performance, health and safety compliance and a line item costing review. My work with the NHBC Claims team has seen me manage over £20m of project spend, facilitate full supplier compliance, mitigate financial and reputational risk, manage complex tenders, work with external project managers and assist in the design of the Claims team’s internal supplier profiling/selection tool.

In this role I operated as the e-sourcing support function for the GNFR procurement specialists for IT, financial services, marketing and HR. I ran tenders, including e-auctions, for the GNFR spend of the business while also managing the supplier onboarding and activity in the Coupa P2P system used by the business. The e-sourcing aspect of my role saw me running tenders, from specification creation to contract award, for various GNFR spend categories of the business ensuring good supplier engagement, transparent business requirements and maximising savings for the business. I was aligned to the spend categories of HR, IT, financial services and marketing but have been involved with, and consulted on, projects for all aspects of procurement in a retail function regularly delivering large savings though RFPs and reverse e-auction events.In this role I also supported both suppliers and colleagues around the business with the required usage of the Coupa P2P system. I managed upgrade roll outs to the platform, including testing. I also ran training sessions for the Coupa portal and was a vital resource in the running of the internal Coupa helpdesk.

In this role I was the first point of contact for the network of users across the business, in both offices and stores, with queries relating to the use and navigation of the Coupa purchase to pay system used by Home Retail Group. I quickly became an experienced advisor with a vast knowledge of the Coupa system and excelled at stakeholder management within a procurement environment.
