As a pre-commencement surveyor, I was involved in sustainable design and procurement, specification and cost advice for all new build sites from tender stage to completion. The role involved the following criteria:• Licensed Code for Sustainable Homes Assessor • A major part of the role was to investigate higher levels of the code and I completed specification designs to code levels 3, 4, 5 and 6. • I have completed construction schemes for code specification designs for code levels 3, 4 and 5. These designs were ratified with design stage certification with no change in the design at post construction stage. • I was part of the sustainability, retrofit and code expert forums for FHM and Keepmoat implementing national sustainability strategies across the UK• I worked with external consultants on Code schemes, directing the code design; these include architects, engineers and code consultants. • I worked alongside the bid team drafting quality statements for PQQ’s and ITT’s on sustainability, climate change adaptions and renewable energy.
