I oversee the Technology Department for Wake County Public Libraries, which includes the Digital Library/PR department as well as the Library Information Technology department. The Digital Library handles the library website and other online interfaces for staff and patrons, some provided by vendors and some custom built by Digital Library staff. The PR staff design, create, and distribute internal promotional materials and external advertisements for library events and services. The Library IT department--under the direct supervision of a HelpDesk manager who reports to me--supports the general hardware and software needs as well as some server support, all in partnership/under the auspices of Wake County information services. I oversee the development and implementation of tasks and projects for both the Digital Library and Library IT, which includes meeting with staff of the departments I manage as well as coordinating with other Senior Managers and library managers to determine and deliver needs.
