Responsible for the financial reporting of the business, which included monthly preparation of accountingand forecasting reports. Managed an engineering trading tracker which included revenues, and cost of salesof up to £1million per month. Using excel skills, I automated some data transformations.• Presented reports in review meetings with senior employees, talking over queries and the results at hand.• Assisted the SSTS (Small Scale Technical Solutions) team with finance about international trade. This inspired me to writemy Diploma of Professional Studies dissertation about AI and data manipulation and storage technologieswithin banking, finance, and accounting.• Managed the budget creation for the FY24 payroll for 24 teams, up to £5million. Furthered organisation skillswhen engaging with cost centre (team) owners to create the complete FY24 budgets for the business acrossrecharges, training etc.• Further, used critical thinking to create trade budgets (forecasts) for the business, among other tasksthroughout the placement.

This was an online internship that has got me intrigued in the field of mergers and acquisitions within investment banking. Furthered my interests from financial markets to business operations and transactions between organisations and funds etc. On the whole, a very good experience and insight into the roles of an investment banker within M&A, furthering my experience and knowledge in the field:• Understood the key technical terms and processes of mergers and acquisitions (M&A). Developed my analytical skills studying the on-demand content supplied by multiple financial institutions.• Applied this knowledge to develop a complete acquisition proposal for British Airways regarding Wizz Air the Eastern European low-cost carrier organisation. This progressed my research skills, fine-tuning key information into a strategic and concise presentation.

Good experience for me that was definitely tiring - early starts and long shifts but worth it as it was what started giving me and income alongside some refereeing:• Communicating often to ensure my team worked efficiently completing the tasks, whilst ensuring health and safety was practised within the high activity environment. Furthered my teamwork and communication skills as we had different teams each shift, some of which were multi-national employees.• Constantly changing environment placed pressure on me and my colleagues where we had to adapt to maintain efficient operations, progressing my skills to work well under pressure.
