I am currently a placement year BSc Mathematics and Accounting student at Newcastle University.My commitment to academic excellence and professional growth has provided me with a range of opportunities. I achieved first class grades with averages of 84.8% and 88.3% in stage 2 and 1 respectively. I was delighted to win the School of Mathematics, Statistics and Physics prize for outstanding academic achievement in both stage 1 and stage 2 (awarded to the first place joint honour’s mathematics student).Outside of my academic pursuits I am a writer for the Courier, Newcastle University’s student paper, where I specialise in Current Affairs issues in Finance and Economics. I was delighted to be shortlisted for writer of the year for 2023/24.Recently I have completed an internship at EY working in their Assurance department within the core audit team, and I have now started a placement year at Grant Thornton.
