I’ve been in the Marine Corps since December 2011 and am currently a Flight Equipment Division Chief. I’m a Collateral Duty Quality Assurance Representative for the CH-53E, AH-1Z, AH-1W and UH-1Y. I’ve been leading, guiding and mentoring junior Marines for the past 8 years. I had the please of being a Marine recruiter in Houston, TX, looking for the most qualified applicants.

  While serving with Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 462 (HMH-462), Marine Light Attack Helicopter Training Squadron 303 (HMLAT-303), and Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 465 (HMH-465) I worked on flight gear for pilots and aircrew, to include but not limited to vests, life preserving units and flares. On the aircraft I worked on the fire extinguishing system as well as with 3 different types of cartridge actuated devices. Once progressing and picking up collateral duty inspector, then collateral duty quality assurance representative, I began to inspect the work of my junior Marines while mentoring and guiding them to become collateral duty inspectors.
