I am a chemical engineering student at the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. Since I was in high school, I have actively pursued opportunities to grow my knowledge in STEM, whether it was through academic bowl or robotics. Furthermore, I interned with the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Crane, Indiana during the summer after I graduated, where I was exposed to many different disciplines of engineering and their connections to the Department of Defense. When I got to college, I continued my pursuits in STEM by working as a member of the iodine clock timing team with Rose-Hulman Chem-E-Car and joining the Omega Chi Epsilon chemical engineering honors society. I also maintained a heavy presence in the research community on campus as part of the Rose Research Fellowship and Rose-Hulman Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship, where I worked on modeling hydrogen fuel cells using ab-initio simulation technology.Along with my commitment to science and technology, I strive to involve myself with the communities I belong to. In high school, I participated in numerous volunteer projects as a member of National BETA, such as helping recycle the stands after our home basketball games and partnering with a local church to offer clothes and school supplies to families. I stayed consistent with these endeavors at Rose-Hulman, where I was involved in the Fall Day of Caring and the Bicycle Assembly Day.In my free time, I enjoy photography, where I have taken thousands of photos, both film and digital, across the U.S., France, and Belgium. I also love playing basketball and baseball, and have competed on intramural teams at Rose-Hulman to meet others who share the same interest. I hope to use my experience in STEM and service to obtain an internship in the areas of battery technology, defense, sustainability, and manufacturing.

Summer ResearcherRose-Hulman Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship Jun 2024 - Aug 2024Terre Haute, Indiana, United StatesContinued project that started during the school year with an emphasis on hydrogen fuel cells. Used VASP simulation package to calculate energetic properties of an FeOCl cell with hydrogen, such as diffusion barrier, band structure, and density of states. Project culminated in a joint manuscript detailing the methods, theory, and data procured.
