Growing up, I spent my time working with my family as contract construction and remodeling, I’ve always known hard work and long hours. I enlisted right out of school, as a Military Police officer. I was assigned to the “Old Guard” in the 289th MP company. Afterwards, I welded for Ledwell and Son for +6 years. There, I learned every kind of welding available to me, a constant challenge to improve the process and my skills. I improved the process a little more everyday, eliminating small mistakes and obstacles. Making the job itself easier and the process faster, thereby making the company more money. I requested to be moved to maintenance to further improve my craft and versatility. While in maintenance, I was taught how to read electrical diagrams, wire electrical motors, repair hydraulic machinery, plumbing, and I operated many different heavy equipment vehicles. I loved the constant challenge and education opportunities it provided. On the side, 3 of my close friends and myself founded and 501c3 to benefit local families in need. At our first official meeting I was voted as president. Under my guidance, we grew to 16 members; We cooperated with local nonprofits and ministries, paid bills, provided furniture, supplied groceries, and found housing for several families; Even fully provide holiday festivities at no expense to them. I hope to further hone and sharpen my skills in the future; While teaching and leading others to find the inspiration to take pride in their craftsmanship.
