About Benjamin Orr
I have always had a fascination with data and, in particular, financial data. After graduating from Clemson University with a major in accounting and a minor in finance, I began working for an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software company here in Greenville called Jobscope. In this role, I was able to utilize my accounting and finance skills supporting customers while also learning customer service and project management principals. I also had the opportunity to learn SQL, Crystal Reports, and various other database management tools. In my current role, I have been able to further leverage my knowledge of accounting together with my data analysis skills to provide actionable insights on production costs, margin percentages, inventory valuation and tracking, and profit analysis. My overall ERP knowledge has allowed for improvements to be made in both production efficiency and data reporting accuracy, which has led to more accurate and timely cost data.
