Currently staying active with a few exciting and challenging positions. Growing a marketing experience company named Five:IT, and a new co-working office called FitSpace. Growing up I attended The San Diego School for Creative and Performing Arts from 9 years old until I graduated, so creativity and the arts have been a part of me my whole life. I'm really happy to be working in positions that embrace that.I had a pretty active life and I enjoyed hiking, snowboarding, and surfing. I fell in love with martial arts and after years of studying multiple styles I later ended up teaching Chinese Kung Fu, which allowed me to explore more of the culture and history, and is likely a factor in how I ended up moving to China. After graduating university I decided to leave my job at Apple (and to my huge relief, the musicals I had finally forced myself to get back into) to teach English in China for a year. As one year extended into several, I ran a training school for children (classes after public school), created and ran numerous workshops sharing outside teaching methods with over a thousand local teachers, and guided new and returning teachers through the challenges of teaching English in China. Eventually I designed text books, curricula, classrooms, and an interactive social media initiative to engage users with free online English lessons. All of these began to coalesce, which leads me to where I am now.
