-Manages a highly experienced team of Registered Apprenticeship Consultants who are responsible for partnering with businesses in the state to drive the adoption of apprenticeship programs across all industries-Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the usage of apprenticeship expansion grant funds, reversing previous shortfalls and leading to outstanding progress on all grant outcomes-Collaborate with industry partners, business owners, educational institutions, and workforce development agencies to expand apprenticeship opportunities and support job seekers-Successfully led the team through a significant shift in grant and internal performance expectations by creating and implementing brand new processes for the team, allowing them to excel in their updated roles-Met all grant outcomes for the Apprenticeship State Expansion grant, demonstrating effective program management and execution-Put the Innovation, Diversity, Equity in Apprenticeship grant on track to meet or exceed all grant outcomes, improving program effectiveness and impact-Awarded a six million dollar from the U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration through the Apprenticeship Building America, Round 2 Grant due to exceeding outcomes on previous apprenticeship grants-Revamped the financial administration structure of grants, leading to a significant increase in the usage of grant funds and improved financial oversight-Work with all managers in the agency to improve work processes and and culture by sharing best practices, brain storming solutions to problems, and developing tools to meet business needs-Mentor in the agency LEAD program, which aims to give employees mentorship as they develop leadership skills

-Oversee the implementation of workforce development grants, creating alignment with grant objectives and timelines to ensure all outcomes are met and budgets are spent appropriately-Lead, mentor, and support a team of case managers in their efforts to assist job seekers in overcoming barriers to employment and receiving financial assistance for job training programs-Create trainings on program eligibility, case management life cycle, and allowable use of funds for multiple workforce development grants-Ensure that all grant-related activities and expenditures comply with federal, state, and local regulations-Conduct regular audits and reviews of grant activities to identify and address any compliance issues-Stay current with changes in regulations and best practices related to grant management and data collection-Analyze data to assess program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement-Coordinate with other case management teams to support co-enrollment and braided funding across grant programs

• Assist Program Manager and Site Director in daily operations including dealing with complaints from customers, developing plans with Career Advisors to help them develop solution orientation results regarding weaknesses in performance, training new staff, following up on assigned task to ensure staff is meeting deadlines, and reviewing new organizational ideas to ensure contractual obligations are met. Often required to multitask or switch between task rapidly.• Critically think about how both the program is run and how Salesforce is set up to find ways to improve the company, provide recommendations about how to effectively implement change to create a more effective program. Attend partnership meeting and community events to promote the company.

• Ensured that cases are processed by associates in a way that meets the company’s contractual obligations with the State of Tennessee, identified performance issues during case reviews, and assisted associates with questions regarding the company’s contract and internal procedures. Required to have precise knowledge of the program and clearly communicate rules.• Responded to requests by the State for case reviews, collaborated with the Site Director to prepare Corrective Action Plans for the State, responded to findings from the State audits, and revised informational documents that are given to clients. Required to be very detail oriented.

• Developed case management skills and learned how to monitor, record, and report important information to the State of Tennessee in a timely, detailed manner.• Advised clients on how to find jobs, how to apply for schools, and assisted recipients of temporary government benefits in finding a path to self-sufficiency with a strong 2-Generational approach. Required to provide a high level of customer service. Often dealt with clients of a variety of socio-economic backgrounds.

I was elected into the Rhodes Student Government in 2016, and served as the Co-Chair of the Academic Committee in 2017. While on the student government, I was an integral part of increasing access to gender neutral restrooms across campus and helped push Rhodes to have a serious conversation about creating a fixed tuition plan for students.

I have been a member of Rhodes College's Tennessee Intercollegiate State Legislature Delegation since 2015, and currently serve as the president. In the first year I participated, I was awarded Best Senator and was the first person to get a bill protecting gender identity to pass both the House and the Senate. The second year I was awarded the Carlisle Award for my time in the Senate, which is TISL's most prestigious award, and one of my bills was given the title of priority legislation after it won a popular vote. This year I was chosen to be the president, and I have prepared a team for the General Assembly as well as organized the trip to the competition.

I was a selected participant for the Rhodes Institute for Regional Studies during the summer of 2017. During this time, I led a solo research project about workplace discrimination against the transgender community in Memphis and conducted several interviews with impacted community members. My goal was to highlight common problems the transgender community faces at work, explain why people in the community face these problems, and then provide a platform for trans community members in Memphis to express their opinions or stories. In the end, I produced a 50 page research paper reviewed by college professors.
