Venture for America Fellows work for startups in emerging cities throughout the United States, creating social impact and economic opportunity. I became a VFA fellow in May 2023, after graduating from Colby College with a BA in Statistics and a minor in Science, Technology, and Society. My academic and professional experience has equipped me with proficiency in tools like RStudio, Python, SQL, and Tableau, and a strong foundation in topics such as Bayesian Statistics, Data-Driven Decision Making, and Urban Studies. I have created data visualizations and regression models for Urban Pathways, a nonprofit organization that provides housing and services to homeless New Yorkers, and StrongArm Technologies, a company that develops wearable devices for industrial workers. I have also undertaken various personal projects, such as predicting startup success and analyzing bikeshare data patterns, using Markov-Chain Monte Carlo and logistic regression methods.Beyond data analysis, I am passionate about political initiatives and leadership development. I worked as a field manager on political campaigns for Max Rose and Raphael Espinal, and have served as a Seminar Leader at the Harvard Summit for Young Leaders in China. I also enjoy outdoor activities like rock climbing and surfing, and have a keen interest in art, architecture, and urban design. I am motivated by the challenge and opportunity of working for startups, and the potential to make a positive difference in the communities I serve.
