Working for the US Government's Development Finance Institution, I advise and support President & CEO Elizabeth Littlefield. OPIC has a $20 billion active portfolio of commitments to sustainable economic development projects across over 100 developing countries. - As President & CEO Elizabeth Littlefield’s longest serving advisor, advise her on development policy, C-suite decisions, and strategic planning, while managing her strategic relationships.- Represent and engage on behalf of OPIC in inter-agency USG meetings, including at White House, State, DOE, and Commerce.- Experience engaging with the public policy community, including think tanks (CGD, CSIS, Brookings, AEI), trade associations (Chamber of Commerce, NRECA), and other NGOs (ONE, Sierra Club).- Write blogs and op-eds for President Littlefield and develop new external communication opportunities in the press and with external influencers.- Designed and executed President Littlefield’s legacy “Innovation Teams” strategic plan to execute on proposals generate by staff volunteers across six thematic areas of internal agency improvement. Concrete new results developed in new financial products (loan syndication and local currency lending), the launch of a new business development “Hub” that merged functions, and the creation of an OPIC Values Statement and senior Change Management Team, among dozens of other improvements.- Perform business development calls and meetings with earliest stage entrepreneurs interested in emerging markets.- Contribute to the project finance, due diligence, and term sheet development for an OPIC-supported 35-megawatt, $178 million geothermal project in Honduras. Project approved by Board in September 2016. - Designed and launched a new key strategic initiative of the CEO in 2013, the OPIC Impact Awards. Now in its fourth year, the Impact Awards honors OPIC’s best clients and most impactful projects, culminating in a ceremony hosted each year at the US Chamber of Commerce.
