While waiting for my Bar exam results, I am assisting as a Law Clerk to the Attorneys at Inter Vivos. I am preparing to specialize in Probate administration for the firm, and work on drafting complete estate plans, trusts, wills, and international estate plans, as I transition into being an attorney.

Paralegal and research work for a single attorney. Assisted in drafting documents for: family law cases including divorce and adoption; a trademark application, settlements, medical malpractice, and tort litigation; reviewed matters for potential litigation including financial records, depositions, police and investigative reports, and many other tasks relating to a small and diverse law practice.

Represented clients in court proceedings under the Utah third year law student practice rule. Prepared pleadings and court documents. Prepared clients for their hearings, reviewed client eligibility for acceptance for representation, and prepared, filed and reviewed pleadings in a variety of family law actions. In various civil proceedings examined and cross examined witnesses, made oral arguments, and negotiated settlements with opposing counsel. Assisted in divorce mediation sessions, and provided legal research.

Worked closely with several attorneys in the public benefits, housing, and social security appeals sections. Assisted clients of diverse cultural backgrounds and languages. Drafted discovery documents, pleadings, letters to clients, and memos. Attended administrative hearings, justice court, and superior court proceedings. Interviewed clients for intake and hearing preparation.

Employed office and organizational skills in a medical office.

Assisted with the operation of the law firm by executing a wide variety of administrative duties: file management, court courier and message services, preparation of letters to clients, data entry, copied and distributed documents, staffed reception desk, welcomed clients and ordered supplies.

Obtained and used, life and health, property and casualty, insurance licenses to manage an insurance agency.

Taught high school students. Wrote curriculum and self published textbooks.

Trained both youth and adults in leadership, teamwork, pioneer and mountaineering skills.
