I graduated from the University of Wolverhampton in 2018 with a BSc in Pharmacology. Later, I studied biomedical science and translational medicine (MRes) at the University of Liverpool where I investigated the molecular drivers of oral squamous cell carcinoma. After graduating in 2019, I took a role as a research technician in the pancreas research group at the University of Liverpool. The research here focused on the early detection of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), with a specific interest in the link between new onset diabetes and PDAC detection. In 2020, I started my journey as a PhD researcher at the University of Wolverhampton with Prof Weiguang Wang. My research focuses on repurposing Disulfiram and its derivatives towards pancreatic cancer therapy. Alongside this, I supported the Science in Industry Research Centre as a research and innovation graduate to provide research support to local science based SMEs. I have extensive expertise and experience in molecular biological techniques, problem solving and communication skills.
