Responsible for business licensing and annual renew of license, insurances, utilities, operational costs for the shop, payroll, quotations and invoicing. Responsible for new business, Customer Service, restoration and mechanic work on older vehicles. LFS Customs also performs home improvements, remodels, full renovations and additions. Knowledge and skills of all hand tools, powered or manual as well as support equipment such as tile saws, band saws, planers and more.

Responsible for the creation, implementation, administration and enforcement of all policies, procedures and compliance activities required to operate Plant Maintenance in accordance with the laws, policies and procedures applicable to the products manufactured at the Wilson facility. Responsible for PM coordination, CAPA’s, Change Controls, etc. as it relates to the site’s Plant Facilities Maintenance department utilizing the SAP Maintenance System. Administers the Work Order System and logs all relevant information into the database. Maintains the Preventive Maintenance module and update PM SOPs as required. Administers the PMs for each month and circulate the completed form for approval. Responsible for Change Control process for maintenance related systems, writes change controls, circulates the form for pre- and post-approval, and finalizes the form. Maintains the miscellaneous department records (PMWO and MWO), daily log sheets and training records. Follow-up on outstanding paperwork completing, as required. Participates as necessary in the planning and organization of resources for maintenance activities, including the compilation of completed records for shutdown documentation. Organizes and maintains the Maintenance drawings and equipment history files. Maintains the utility spreadsheets (electric, gas, water) by entering usage data from billing reports. Responsible for compiling and reporting weekly critical system release deliverables from facility maintenance department. Provide compliance metric reporting weekly and monthly for Quality Management reviews. Present information at plant level weekly meetings for PMs, calibrations, and AMS alarms. Prepares/reviews documentation, procedures, reports required for Annual Product Quality Review (APQR) from the facility maintenance department. Maintain site reporting for pest control status.

This position starts process improvement projects from start to completion. Works with contract and OEM companies for the mechanical, electrical, pneumatic/hydraulic and controls needs. Review all the necessary documents, RFQ’s, DDS’s, FRS’s, FDS’s, HDS’s and SDS’s. In SAP, write PM’s and LOTO procedure, write SOP’s or edit SOPs for equipment for said projects. Train personnel on the equipment installed or equipment modifications/upgrades. Position required regular overtime.

Assess new equipment/machinery for installation by setting up in a project shop – level machine, power (electrically, pneumatically, etc) full check out including functions and change parts. Assist with the validation of equipment, installation and start up. Write PM’s and LOTO procedure for equipment. Assist/ perform validation. Some travel involved, work closely with validation, process engineers and technicians. Train and support maintenance and production personnel related to respective equipment. Ensure the filling and finishing vial and ampule pharmaceutical production lines were kept operating, which included overseeing mechanics/technicians as well as perform troubleshooting tasks, upgrade and replacement of various PLC’s and interface modules (including programming), finding improvements for production equipment and implement, set up and order parts, training of maintenance and production personnel as needed. Assist with installation of new production equipment. Some manufacturers included Thiele, Shanklin, Aidlin, Systec Vision, Itran and Acuity Vision, New Jersey Machine, Filamatic, Bausch and Strobel, West, TL Bosch and Cozzoli. Position required regular overtime.

Assemble, wire, install, test, maintain and overhaul mechanical and electromechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment for the liquid filling industry, both in-house and on-site customer locations. Work closely with engineers to develop and improve the design of machines. Perform final assembly, QA, customer FAT’s as well as installaion of finished machinery and customer training of liquid filling equipment and relative integrated systems mostly for the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries. This required thorough knowledge of PLC, interface (HMI) and servo programming. Also needed were mechanical skills such as capable use of a wide variety of hand tools as well as working knowledge and use of machinists’ mills and lathes. Set up and demonstration of machinery at packaging shows. Troubleshooting service-related problems over the telephone and in the field. Position required extensive travel and overtime as required.
