I was the chief executive officer of the Tribe, responsible for overseeing and coordinating all Tribe activities. I acted as the Tribe's spokesperson and main connection to the Scout units in the Long Beach Area Council and the community. I was responsible for working closely with the Camp Director to ensure a successful 2017 summer season at Camp Tahquitz. I am a vital member of the Camp Tahquitz staff - I still help coordinate the efforts of the volunteer staff, assist with pre-camp planning and training, and set the tone for staff at Camp by leading through example and maintaining a positive attitude towards Scouts and unit leaders. I held important responsibilities for the Tribe's camping and outdoor program mission. My duties included: promoting Camp Tahquitz to Scouts whose troop had signed up to go to summer camp; planning and organizing camping, backpacking, and other non-Indian Lore activities for the Tribe, including activities which tie into the BSA Venturing program; providing a page of outdoor activity information in each Runner; and maintaining Tribe equipment.
