Our local trades people are made up of military veterans and their families who have graduated from the Building Heroes Education Foundation programme. They are skilled across a number of trades that are in high demand from homeowners, tenants and property managers.We exist to better connect qualified graduates to customers who are looking for tradespeople that they can trust. When someone opens the door to one of our tradespeople they know they can trust the person walking in. What’s more, you are supporting someone to develop a second career after service to support themselves and their families.

Business Development

- Installation of Solar Parks and Rooftops- Liaise between clients, project managers, and vendors- Review site drawings, prior and during site planning and preparation- Install fencing and CCTV around site to maximise security- Completed training course for use of 360 excavators.- Cut and install supporting structures for solar panels.- Operate exothermic welding on site.- Excavate trenches and lay electrical and fibre optic cable.- Write risk assessments and method statements.- Complete weekly time sheets for members of staff on site.- Operate plant machinery such as a wheel loader, Kubota Ramming machine and dumper, Kramer Telescopic forklift, Tracked Bobcat, and Terex Digger all with forks and buckets- Ensure stores stock and equipment are replenished as required- Order materials before commencing and ad hoc- Train and develop skills of my own and colleagues.

• This position required me to be responsible for loading the delivery vehicles with the correct stock and ensuring that they departed on time in order to meet the customers delivery requirements, this needed team work and very good communication skills. Customers included large hotel chains such as the Hilton and Days Inn for whom the deliveries were an essential part of the day to day running.
