Asset Manager of a portfolio of Multifamily Real Estate Assets in the Midwest & South East valued over $1B totaling over 5000 units. Involved in the onboarding, renovation, stabilization and disposition of nearly 10,000 units. Lead teams of Regional District Supervisors and direct onsite Operations Supervisors to successfully renovate and modernize the interior and exterior of the assets while always optimizing the properties financial performance.Lead the companies energy conservation and renewable initiatives for the entire portfolio. Including benchmarking, water conservation, solar PV and utility allowance reviews.

(SOLD Business to NOVA Consulting in 2014) Co-founded and managed the startup, growth, marketing, financials and daily operation of an energy consulting firm, Strategic Energy Group (SEG). SEG was awarded the leading energy audit analysis tool for the Fannie Mae pilot program in 2013 which later became the standard for Fannie Mae Green PNA Loan program. Due to explosive growth in the financial markets for combined Energy Audits and Capital Needs Assessments in apartment underwriting, SEG was sold to NOVA consulting in 2014. Prior to that SEG assisted clients with developing energy reduction goals as a means to increase the value of their real estate assets. We created strategic plans and implement solutions to achieve the defined goals. Client goals ranged from deep energy retrofits of existing properties to an energy benchmarking review prior to purchasing a new property. SEG provided proven operational strategies, with documented return on investment, designed to maximize the effectiveness of the client’s real estate portfolio’s energy management policies. This was accomplished through a thorough evaluation process including an analysis of the property’s design and building systems, coupled with a sound review of the client’s operational and fiscal priorities. Advised clients on current energy performance, recommended energy improvements, calculated energy savings, scoping and bidding of project, construction & implementation oversight and post project measurement and verification of savings.

Portland, Maine Area

Performed the key role of project development from an Initial Energy Audit through major project renovation. Responsible as a Portfolio Manager for the firms Multifamily Owners Division as lead consultant to maintain expectations, while managing internal project managers and resources. Reviewed project potential, developed scope of work, project costs estimates, estimated savings, funding potentials, project team creation and project construction. Provided cap value presentations of the identified energy savings for both owner investment and leveraged funding sources. Apartment site size between 24 units to 2000 units.
