Benjamin Turner has served companies in the financial and technology sectors for over a decade, living and working in California, the MENA region and New York.  Prior to working for Meridian, Ben worked for New York-based Broadsword Partners, where he served as Director of International Business Development,  providing strategic consulting services and participating in equity investments, capital-raising efforts, project financing, and evaluations of over $400 million in value.  In addition, Ben led long-term efforts on behalf of a U.S.-based client in generating specialized research to enhance the client’s understanding of EMEA equities markets.  Ben currently retains his relationship with Broadsword in a consultant capacity.  Separately, Ben serves as a strategic advisor to the world's leading geolocation travel safety information company, whose platform produces the most detailed location safety ratings in the world.  Ben received a M.A. in Anthropology from the University of Wisconsin, M.A. in Social Sciences from the University of Chicago, and a B.A. in Anthropology from The Colorado College.  Since 2011, Benjamin has served as Deputy Director on the Board of Found Sound Nation, a New York-based collective of musicians and artists who leverage the power of sound making to create strong, just, and healthy communities.  Benjamin is a Spanish and Arabic speaker, loves piano and the uke, and is currently located in Lima, Peru.
