My responsibilities include:-Writing, editing and submitting scientific manuscripts for academic journals.-Creating and refining figures, slideshows, and other scientific materials for publication and presentation.-Writing grant proposals, budgets and other materials for submission to the National Institutes of Health and similar funding institutions.-Ensuring compliance with federal grant reporting requirements including writing progress reports, submitting INDs and other regulatory documents, and reconciling financial statements. -Drafting protocols, human subjects protections documents, financial disclosures, and other materials for IRB review. -Conducting operations and logistics for federally funded research projects with up to 35 national consortium sites.-Representing the Division to Grand Rounds speakers, external grant advisors, internal executives, and faculty recruits.-Organizing logistics and taking minutes for scientific and administrative meetings.-Assisting the Division Director with scheduling and other administrative tasks.-Coordinating the divisional mentoring and promotions program for all divisional junior faculty.

In this role, I built systems to ensure the Executive Director’s and Founder & Chief Academic Officer’s needs would be met efficiently, and I resolved new operations obstacles that arose as the organization grew in its second year of operation. This included writing and editing grant proposals and directing organizational accounts receivable.

I wrote and distributed a wide variety of fundraising communications, processed financials, and provided administrative support as needed.
