I am responsible for replenishing shelves with products from storage rooms to ensure they are full and neatly arranged. I also manage the inventory by keeping track of inventory levels and controlling shortages. I also have the responsibility of helping customers find items, answering customer queries, and informing customers on which items are out-of-stock and other locations to find them.

I am responsible for carrying out daily maintenance tasks with the Golf Course Maintenance Team (mowing greens/fairways, raking bunkers, fertilizing, laying sod, and covering greens in the winter) to keep up playability and high-quality appearance. I am also responsible for course setup to present proper tee marker positions and hole locations. I have hand-watered greens and sod, which required moving hoses manually to recognize wilt conditions. I was selected to complete Course Setups for the 2022 U.S. Kids Golf Tournament (North Course). As a team player, I have assisted other departments in caring for pool areas, tennis, and pickleball courts and moving furniture and equipment as requested. I have also trained new hires to ensure they provided the same quality work expected by the owners and members.

The place that I was able to report to every day was the finance office. Here in finance, they can see all of the money that flows in and out of the hospital and have the control to stop certain exchanges from happening. A piece of work that I have done is voiding stale-dated patient refund checks. Patients receive these refund checks if they or their insurance overpay for a visit. If the patient wishes to not cash these checks within 90 days of them being issued, then they become stale. Finance then becomes responsible for voiding these insurance checks so the patient can’t cash them past their due date. To void these payments, you have to go into two different systems, one being Epic, and look for this information to then perform the right actions to void the check. I have also had the responsibility of entering journal entries into our Aperek system, making cash reconciliations for certain areas of the hospital, and making payment adjustments for patients who enter the hospital. For my project, I had the responsibility of ensuring that all of the hospital’s contracts were in order with services that are provided to the hospital and services that we provide to outside vendors. What I had to look for in these documents were the company, their services, who signed the contract, when it was signed and when it expires, the value of the contract, invoices that are associated with the company, if we’re being invoiced for the right amount of money based on services provided, people who requisition and approve the invoices, and if it’s in their range of spending.
