I was awarded the WSU graduate teaching assistantship scholarship which included a salary position as an adjunct instructor in the Metalsmithing department of Wayne State University. Designed class syllabi, conducted class demonstrations, lecture presentations, completed grading, and documentation of student work. Maintained the Metalsmithing studio and various equipment, and conducted non-accredited workshops with high school students from the greater Metro-Detroit area.

Employed as a sub-contractor under the oversight of Georgio Gikas; owner and operator of Venus Bronze Works in Detroit, MI. We did on-site repairs, sand blasting, patination, set up scaffolding, used numerous waxing techniques, fabrication and various other tasks on statues & installations in the shop and around the Metro-Detroit area, a few locations including: the Cranbrook Academy of Art- Bloomfield Hills MI, the Marshall M. Fredricks Sculpture Museum- Saginaw MI, the University of Michigan Campus- Ann Arbor MI, Wayne State University Campus- Detroit MI, & at The Belle Isle Conservancy- Detroit MI. In shop work included various fabrication tasks, patination, waxing, foundry pattern making, mold making, surface texturing/finishing, multi-media blasting, as well as various maintenance and cleaning tasks.

I was employed in the steel fabrication shop at the College for Creative Studies while enrolled as a student and reported to the shop manager and maintained hand and stationary power equipment, taught and advised students from various departments how to safely run and use the machinery; included stationary spot welder, Bridgeport vertical mill, oxy-acetylene torches, belt and disk sanders, shears, punches, and the liquid cooled miter saw. Ran the Tool Crib during my shifts, distributed hand power equipment, and gave technical advice. Equipment maintained
