Resulting in a significant economic contribution to the supply-chain industry. Ben was first bitten by the entrepreneurial bug in his student days in 2008 when he started Drooling Apparel Asia Pacific Pte Ltd, a provider of custom printed t-shirts. He only wanted to earn some money on the side to fund his solo travels and motorbike tours. It turned out that business was brisk with orders from companies, schools, and government agencies in Singapore.Shortly after, Ben's team acquired Lange Macrea Pte Ltd, a creative agency based in Singapore, and ran it from 2012 to 2014. He accumulated a wealth of advertising, marketing, and branding experience during this time which would eventually serve him well in his future software startup.But it was the inventory management issues at his custom t-shirt business that left an impression on Ben. He decided to write his own software solution after evaluating multiple off-the-shelf software which does not cut it. Convinced that other businesses would find his software useful, he started Higher Identity to offer systems integration and consulting work. EMERGE App's development was eventually bootstrapped to the tune of $1 million with the revenue from the consulting business in the first 3 years of operations.
