I’ll never forget walking the hub footprint with Ben at 2 in the morning, standing at a random Orlando corner and listening to him identify all of the pros and cons of staging and pickup/drop off areas before I could even figure out which way was north and south. He was truly in his element, and I realized during that trip just how much of an asset he is to Uber. His expertise and passion for improving event and local operations is unparalleled and is something no other competitor can match. Ben and I also collaborated on the Super Bowl in Miami, an event we expected to be as problematic as it turned out to be. Ben foresaw such a problem, which is a testament to his ability to look far enough out to drive for the best solution today. I very much appreciated Ben’s debriefing the process almost as it happened. He advocated for Uber’s involvement in the next Super Bowl much earlier on the process to drive at a better result, an insight we would’ve lost had he not been thinking ahead. Although COVID has greatly changed the Tampa Bay Super Bowl’s outlook, I had no doubt that we’d have a better outcome this time around versus last.", and "Ben is the man!
