Level 4 Electrical Technician.Modifications - Working on Metro-Cammell Class 156 Super Sprinter and the British Rail Class 158 Express Sprinter performing multi-skilled set modifications to units in the fleet including radiator replacements, cooling fan changes and deflector bolt update packages.C4 - Performing in depth maintenance requirements and large overhauls to aged components including, but not exclusive to, bogies, driveshafts, doors, seats, main and brake reservoir tanks, batteries and auto-couplers.B-Team - One of four electricians on shift, performing A and B service exams on units which are dictated by their respective covered mileage, also performing daily Fuel Point exams ensuring the sets rail-worthiness and serviceability for the scheduled diagram the following day. Outside of this daily undertaking I am required to attend to all electrical faults and required electrical repairs on both live and isolated units.Hitachi - Serving Class 800/801 LNER Azuma units and Class 802 TPE Nova units. Duties primarily include performing the daily FTR exam, this includes, but is not exclusive to ensuring that the train set is of a safe state and is fit to run on the network. All safety systems are checked on board, as well as all customer and staff interface, ensuring it is of a clean, safe, functional and revenue earning state. Undertake rectification work of all mechanical and electrical faults as required, including replenishments of POL/sands.

Multi traded Test Technician on the UK Department for Transport initiative, Intercity Express Programme (Class 800/Azuma) trains, for GWR, LNER and TPE, covering in-depth investigative testing, fault finding, diagnosis, rectification and rework of competed train sets from production.• Testing, fault diagnosis and repair of all train systems. (Electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatic)• Ensuring test procedures are strictly adhered to.• Completing all test documentation that accurately supports test results.• Consistently working to deadlines and delivering the train units according to the manufacturing schedule.• Working with overhead line equipment (OLE) with voltages up to 100kV.• Working at height using fall arrest system.• Responsibility for adhering to companies ISO9001 Quality Assurance procedures.• Interpretation and implementation of changes to assemblies and finished product.• Trained on rules and regulations in working ‘on or near the line’ railway infrastructure.

Multi traded engineer with authorisations to work first and second line on Royal Navy Lynx Mk 3 and Mk 8 helicopters. Target driven sales via both telecommunications and a face to face basis selling bulk fuel and lubricants to a large portfolio of commercial, agricultural and domestic customers. Looking for new business and maintaining existing business was also a key part of my role.
