My name is Benjamin, but most call me Benny. I made my bones as an Art Director / Designer over 17 years ago with a particular focus in marketing and advertising. I’ve had a storied career thus far managing the design and marketing architecture for some of the world’s most beloved brands. Comfortable as a player (AD) and a coach (CD), people enjoy working with me, people enjoy working for me and I enjoy people. At 25, I joined the Los Angeles-based advertising agency Davis Elen and have never looked back. Through that storied midwestern work ethic and a giant chip on my shoulder I worked my way through every seat in the Creative Department eventually arriving at my current position - Group Creative Director. In my tenure, I’ve worked for Toyota, McDonald’s, Warner Brothers (WB), Best Buy, Special Olympics North America, the Los Angeles Dodgers, LAFC and many more. I enjoy the challenge of creating maximum impact for my clients while living within their parameters - budgets, media, etc. I don’t just like to work with the big dawgs either. I’ve found a particular knack for marketing many CPG products as well. From branding/identity, to packaging to social media strategy I’ve helped several once small brands reach national and international success. I played a key role in the launch of the Coolhaus Ice Cream rebrand, Future Gin, Zafa Wine, Alkaline88 Water, PeaTos Vegan Snacks, Flora Vermouth and Oeno Wine. I truly enjoy the process of translating what brands need into what consumers want. The way art and copy interact is what initially drove me to this business and what still keeps me excited about it every day. In my free time I love to paint abstract art, cook delicious meals, play tennis and get lost in the backcountry. I live in Frogtown, Los Angeles with my 13 year old Pom-Mutt named Karl. I bring an exuberant spirit, a positive attitude and a tremendous amount of first-hand experience. Let’s chat.
