Nevertheless, some disputes are inevitable—and when they arise I have the expertise to handle them.As a tax attorney, I help individuals and small businesses in resolving tax controversies, such as disputes over assessments by the IRS and state and local tax authorities.My litigation practice focuses on business disputes with an emphasis on appellate matters. I have briefed arguments and motions in various state and federal courts, including the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and the Supreme Court of Ohio. I have represented clients in both prosecuting and defending original actions in the Supreme Court of Ohio.I also represent consumers who are feeling the effects of the present economy. My consumer practice involves representing debtors with creditor disputes, bankruptcy, and post-bankruptcy credit issues.I have extensive government experience, having worked for judges on both a federal trial court and a federal court of appeals. I use this experience to help clients navigate the frequently difficult maze of government regulation. I have particular experience representing governments and private clients in matters involving Ohio’s Open Meetings Act and Public Records Act. I am a member of the Cincinnati Bar Association and serve as an officer on its Solo and Small Firm committee.
