I am a self motivated, hard working and enthusiastic Automotive Engineer. I have recently completed my BSc in Automotive Engineering at Brighton University. In my spare time i like to work on my own vehicles, for example recently i have prepped my Polo GTi for track use. I have a lot of hands on experience with working with vehicles which gives me a greater understanding of how things work, rather than just a theoretical understanding.During my final year I participated in the Formula Student team for Brighton (Brighton Racing Motors). Consisting of a team of final year students we designed and procured a brand new race car for the 2020 IMechE Formula student event at Silverstone. My role was the cooling systems work package leader, this role included aiding members in the cooling system work package with their designs and integrating with one and other, whilst meeting our initial design criteria. The leadership role also included working with the other work package team leaders ensuring our work packages had no conflicts and if so, they would be resolved early in the design stage to ensure a harmonized overall design before manufacture. Throughout the project we met as a whole team (40+members) 2-3 times a week to discuss progress, planning and any issues, as a work package team leader I would present the latest updates for the cooling system. In addition, I also took part in the mentorship program with two other students at Ricardo in Shoreham. Meeting once a month to discuss progress of our Formula Student project. Using their advice and guidance to help with planning, team management, overcoming integration issues and other key aspects relating to the project.
