I am an analytical and hardworking engineering graduate with a second-class BEng (Hons) degree in Mechanical Engineering. I have studied the mechanical properties of multiple metals and non-metals and how they behave under conditions of compressive, tensile and shear stress. I have also studied ways to determine positions of highest load and stress and how cracks and imperfections can affect said position. Learning how complete tasks as a leader or member of a team was a very important part of my degree. My final year group project required myself and my team members to co-ordinated the design of the suspension of a Formula Baja Buggy with another group designing the body, a task where effective communication is critical and was key to our success. I was also tasked with the design of a new alternative fuelled vehicle with the help of a small team and was then required to propose this design to a Jaguar Land Rover representative. The creation of more sustainable personal transportation was also the subject of my individual dissertation and I believe these tasks have improved my knowledge in the automotive and manufacturing sector.I have utilised various advanced software as part of my course, highlighted below. I enjoy challenging and interesting tasks as part of a position that offers a good balance technical written work and hands-on practical work that I believe will make me an asset to your company.
