I began my career at Intertek/ATI as a builder/laborer in the Acoustical department. I worked in Acoustics for 4 years becoming a technician I and then a technician II. While working in Acoustics I ran field and laboratory sound transmission loss and sound absorption tests. I learned a great deal about this fascinating science as well as the building products and construction industry. In 2008 saw an opportunity to expand my skills and knowledge of the industry and transferred to the Thermal department in 2008. I became involved in laboratory guarded hot box thermal testing, as well as environmental cycling testing. In 2011 the opportunity to learn other facets of thermal testing and I became involved in thermal computer simulations, heat flow meter, and LTTR testing. I am currently responsible for all heat flow meter related operations, as well as assisting environmental testing, special projects, field evaluations, and computer simulations.

I began working for Sheridan as a part time employee and printing press trainee. My senior year in high school i was student in my high school's "Diversified Occupations" program. During this program I spent a minimum of one month in each department. I enjoyed learning the different aspects of the printing process and operations of the company. Upon completing this program I choose to concentrate on the operations of the actual printing presses. I began working as a trainee full-time immediately after I graduated from high school. For the next two years I worked my way through the trainee program, working 12 hour night-shifts. As my time at Sheridan continued I realized that I wanted to broaden my horizons beyond the printing and manufacturing industry.
