I lead an independent laboratory comprising graduate and undergraduate students, using mouse models and human biospecimens. My multidisciplinary efforts address liver cancer health disparities in Pacific Islander populations. My lab leverages my expertise in single-cell RNA-seq, spatial transcriptomics, and flow cytometry to study the intricacies of immune responses in liver cancer. Outside of the lab, I sit on the Cancer Biology Program steering committee and liver cancer interest group, and I host a weekly journal club on cancer immunology research campus-wide.My clinical background includes two years of categorical general surgery residency at an NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center and specialized clinical training at the NCI’s intramural Surgical Oncology Program. Eager to bring my interdisciplinary skills and passion for innovation to companies in the R&D Lab or medical liaison roles, I am poised to drive impactful advancements in cancer therapeutics.
