I worked on the General Surgical unit and some task include completing vitals every 2 hours, empty drainage bags, foley care, blood sugar checks, and other essential nursing assistant duties. I worked with a team of nurses to manage anywhere from 8-12 patients a day. The nurses would delegate me tasks and I provided help when needed. All related information was inputted to Swedish's electronic health record system, Epic, in a timely manner to ensure the patient had a complete electronic medical record, and to follow compliance standards.

I managed a large group of elderly residents and are responsible of taking care of their health and well-being. I assisted and created a safe space for them to live a normal life and take care of them to ensure all their needs are met. This consist of normal daily living tasks and any medications or vitals needed for their health. I am also responsible for closely paying attention to their health and reporting any changes to the nurse. A strict care plan is followed in order to keep their health optimal.
