I got the entrepreneurship bug from my dad.As a Tunisian born Jew, my dad immigrated to France at 11, working his way through fleamarkets to build his own business.But growing up and watching him and his business evolve, I witnessed exactly how unstable the life of a small business owner could be.I was set on going the opposite route: I would go to college, have a stable job in finance and make sure that my path would be safe and successful. So, I did what was expected of me, sweeping my dreams of entrepreneurship under the carpet and saving them for when I was financially safe.But I was bored at school, at work. I was ok at it but I never really fit.So along the way I tried to spice it up with side ventures.I traded used cars. I sold used high-end furniture on Craigslist. I even built an upwork for college students.But I never fully pushed these ventures to become more because honestly I was scared.And one day at 26 - I met God and my faith.I realized I was not in control, I was free, finally the journey had started. So I hired a life and business coach to help me process this change and what it meant for me.And after 18 months of personal development work -I took my first leap: I quit my job and launched my own business.Finally Joorney was born.
