I am a lifelong artist, musician, community organizer, tinkerer and youth mentor. Since I graduated from the Johnston Center for Integrative studies with a B.A in “Cultivating the Arts through Design and Theory” I have dedicated himself to supporting various communities through art, education, and exposure to tools and techniques, while strengthening skills in live event production (including lighting, sound, and logistics), equipment commonly found in maker spaces (such as 3D printers, laser engravers, etc.), audio engineering, computer programming, podcasting, electronics, and mechanics.From 2010 to 2020, I have curated over 1000 live events with my art collective, as well as alone. With a majority of these events taking place in underground spaces, bars, and larger venues in Chicago, I have curated Open Mics, Music shows of all genres, poetry readings, skillshares, teach-ins, fundraisers, music videos and theatrical productions, often serving as live sound engineer, lighting designer, stage crew, or leading a team who performed these and other necessary logistical items for the execution of a seamless live event. My work experience ranges from working with nonprofits such as the Harold Washington Library, Odyssey Teen Camp, and West Town Bikes directly engaging with community members of all ages, working as stage crew for large music venues and festivals, maintaining and selling 3D printers and laser engravers for Dynamism, podcast producer for “What About Chicago?!” (winner of Chicago Reader’s “Best Music Podcast” 2019), “CTRL ALT DEFAULT”, and “Apertura”, as well as a back-end programmer for fintech startup Raise Green.
